You are GIS. Your work matters. From the software developer to the GIS Manager, from the forester to the urban planner, we are looking for presentation concepts for the 2017 Esri India User Conference (UC).

The 2017 Call for Papers covers 30+ session topics highlighting the GIS solutions today and in the future. As a presenter you will gain recognition and exposure to over 1000+ Esri users from diverse industries coming together with the common goal of answering today’s challenges with tomorrow’s GIS to create a better world.

  • Abstract Submission : September 30, 2017
  • Abstract Acceptance : October 15, 2017
  • Full-Paper Submission : November 15, 2017
  • Full-Paper Acceptance : December 1, 2017

Submission Guidelines

  • The abstract submitted should not exceed 350 words. The following details should be included:
    • Author/Presenter Name(s)
    • Presentation Title (70 characters or less)
    • Topic Category
    • Company Name
    • Complete Address, Phone, and Fax information
    • Brief Presenter Biography (200 characters or less)
  • The abstract should summarize and indicate the key research / points that will be further presented. Be sure to answer these questions:
    • What problem did you solve with GIS? What advantage did GIS give you?
    • What types of geospatial analysis did you use? Explain how and why.
    • What are your findings or results?
    • How can this project be useful for the audience?
  • The submitted abstract should be an original work on Esri technology, one which has not been published before.
  • Abstract should be based on any one of the topics mentioned in the list of User Session themes.
  • Upon evaluation of abstracts, selected authors will be invited to send in their full papers (in English, not exceeding 5 A4 sized page including tables, figures and maps).
  • The registration of the first author of the selected paper is complimentary.

All submitted papers shall be evaluated for quality, originality and relevance by the technical paper committee. The acceptance of the papers will be based on the review results.

Content and formatting

  • All papers and presentations must be non-commercial. At no time is it permissible for presenters to use their time slot to advertise or promote a product, service, or company.
  • Remember, the information you enter is used for publishing purposes (e.g., online agenda); therefore, eliminate bullet points, numbering, or all capital letters; submissions must be in English.
  • Do not include information in your abstract that will not be included in your presentation.
  • Business partners must have a client as the primary presenter. Any presentation must focus on your client's success and how Esri software provided a solution.
