What is a prorated subscription?

Some of Esri's products use a subscription model. A prorated subscription occurs when your subscription length is less or more than the standard annual subscription of 12 months. Typically this occurs when you would like to match the period of other subscription products you own. It is important to note that prorated subscriptions are not discounts. Prorated subscriptions are an adjusted charge reflective of the period of subscription. 

For example, if a 12-month subscription is priced at $1,200 ($100 per month), and you purchased a period of 10 months to match another core software subscription you own, your prorated charge at checkout would be $1,000 (10 months x $100 per month).
