Program Introduction

1. Agreement

In order to be a participate in the Program, you are required to agree to the rules stated herein below. Please read these rules prior to submitting your creative entries to ensure you understand and agree. Submission of your entries constitutes your acceptance to these rules. These terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Esri India Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) regarding your entry and participation in Program.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Submissions are open till 17th August,2025.

2.2 The contest is open to residents of India, Nepal, and Bhutan.

2.3 Participants must already have a valid ArcGIS Personal Use License or an ArcGIS Online (AGOL) account.

2.4 Each entry must be an original work created using Esri’s ArcGIS technology and adhere to all content guidelines. 

2.5 Participants may submit multiple entries, provided each entry is unique and follows submission guidelines.

3. Submission Process

3.1 Format of Submission

Participants are required to present their ArcGIS workflows in one of the following acceptable formats:

(a) A screen recording demonstrating the complete workflow, embedded within a PowerPoint presentation, accompanied by a brief written description; or

(b) A written document or presentation, with a step-by-step explanation of the workflow, supported by relevant screenshots illustrating the process. 

3.2 Required Information

Each submission must include the following participant details:

    (a) Full Name;

   (b) Contact Number; 

    (c) Email Address (associated with the ArcGIS account);

    (d) ArcGIS Personal Use License details, or Personal ArcGIS Online (AGOL).

3.3 Multiple Submissions

Participants may submit multiple entries, provided that: 

    (a) Each entry is unique and represents a distinct and original workflow; and

    (b) No content is duplicated across entries submitted by the same participant.

3.4 Mode of Submission

All entries must be submitted exclusively through the designated submission form.

4. Content Guidelines

4.1 Entries must be original and created by the participant.

4.2 Plagiarism or use of copyrighted material without proper attribution will result in immediate disqualification, at the sole discretion of Esri India.

4.3 Submissions shall be subject to Content Restrictions as mentioned in clause 10 below.

4.4 Participants must ensure that all data sources used in their submission are properly attributed.

5. Selection & Judging Criteria

5.1 Entries will be judged by a panel of experts from Esri India based on the following:

  • Innovative use of ArcGIS tools and extensions.
  • Narrative clarity and comprehensibility.
  • Effective integration of analytical workflows and visualizations.
  • Focus on interactive elements and real-world problem-solving. 

5.2 Judges' decisions will be final and binding.

6. Rewards & Notification of Winners

6.1 Selected entries will be featured on Esri India’s official digital platforms. 

6.2 Three winning entries will receive a one-year ArcGIS Personal Use License, which is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. 

6.3 Winners will be notified via email and must confirm their acceptance within one week. 

6.4 If a winner does not respond within the stipulated time, the reward may be forfeited. 

7. No Fee or Remuneration

7.1 No fee, honorarium, or remuneration shall be payable to the Participant for enrolling or participating in the Program.

7.2 The benefits described herein are indicative and provided for illustrative purposes only. The availability, nature, and extent of such benefits shall be subject to Esri India’s sole discretion and prevailing circumstances. Nothing contained in this document shall be construed as creating any obligation on the part of Esri India to confer any specific benefit upon any Participant.

8. Confidentiality

8.1 Any material shared as part of this program should be kept confidential and solely used for learning and personal development.

8.2 The Participant acknowledges that they may receive or have access to confidential and proprietary information belonging to Esri India and/or its affiliates. Such information shall be treated as confidential and shall not be disclosed, copied, or used without Esri India’s prior written consent.

9. Content Restrictions

The Participant agrees that any content shared in connection with the Program shall not contain:

(a) Nudity, lewd, or vulgar material.

(b) Content that infringes on third-party rights, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, privacy, and publicity rights.

(c) Unauthorized brand names or trademarks. 

(d) Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or harm against any individual or group based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation.

Esri India reserves the right to remove any content which it reasonably believes to be restrictive content without any notice. Esri India’s discretion in this shall be final, binding and non-refutable. Participant hereby agrees that it shall not raise any dispute to the decision of Esri India in this regard.

10. Publicity and Use of Participant Information

10.1 The Participant shall not use Esri India’s name, logo, or trademarks in any publicity, advertisement, or promotional material without prior written consent from Esri India. 

10.2 The Participant hereby grants Esri India the right to feature their name, submission, project details, and any other relevant information on the Program’s website/webpage, social media channels, and related promotional and marketing materials. The Participant further waives and surrenders such rights of the submitted content developed as part of this Program in favor of Esri India solely to the extent necessary for such promotional use by Esri India. 

 

11. Warranties and Indemnity

11.1 The Participant warrants that any submissions, are his/her original work and do not infringe upon any third-party rights.

11.2 The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Esri India, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the Participant’s breach of these Terms or any wrongful act or omission.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 In no event shall either party be liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Disqualification

13.1 Providing false or misleading information, violating these Terms, or engaging in any conduct that compromises the integrity of the Program may result in immediate disqualification without any notice at Esri India’s sole discretion.

14. Program Modification or Cancellation

14.1 Esri India reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or cancel the Program if circumstances arise that compromise its integrity, security, or operations.

14.2 Esri India may disqualify any Participant who acts in a manner detrimental to the Program or its reputation and reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

15.1 The Program and any related services are provided on an “as is” basis without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

16.1 By submitting an entry, participants hereby agree and provide their express consent that Esri India may collect, store, and process their personal data for the purposes of administering the contest, communicating with participants, announcing winners, and promoting the contest on various platforms, including but not limited to Esri India’s website, social media channels, and marketing programs.

16.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Esri India’s privacy policy.

16.3 Esri India will not share personal data with third parties without the participant’s explicit consent, except as required by law.

16.4 Participants may request access to or deletion of their personal data by contacting [marketing@esri.in]. 

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

17.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

17.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended from time to time. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement of the parties. The venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English.

17.3 The courts in New Delhi, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all matters arising out of or relating to this Agreement.
