Role Overview
Manage multiple projects, prepare high quality business related documentation, drafting charters, timelines, status reports, documentation & reports.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform all facets of project management including initiation, scoping, requirements gathering, defining methodologies, drafting charters and timelines, drafting status reports, documentation, and presentations and overseeing testing of deliverables.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to GIS analysts. Prepare routine performance evaluations and professional development plans.
- Manage multiple projects of competing priorities requiring coaching of stakeholders (technical and non-technical), oversight of contractors, and with a relentless attention to detail as to ensure success and on-time delivery.
- Support the development of high-quality business-related documentation when needed.
- Prepare and present high-quality technical presentations and demonstrations when needed.
- Prepare for and participate in annual customer planning meetings and technology exchange meetings.
- Manage meetings to execute on action items and achieve clarity of roles and accountability and consensus on goals and objectives by departmental customers, technical staff, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Ensure that projects are have fully documented scope of work, procedures, and summaries.
- Encourage the professional growth and development of staff in emerging areas of spatial and information technology.

- Ability to conduct requirements gathering, interpret needs, and design solutions and manage expectations.
- Project management including timeline planning, documentation, personnel and technical resources, stakeholder engagement, QA/QC, and preparation of deliverables.
- Collaboration skills; ability to adapt quickly between technical and non-technical teams to accomplish shared goals and objectives on time.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to provide clarity to staff, stakeholders and contractors – all of whom may have very low to very high ranges of technical expertise.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Proactive, self-starter who likes learning new tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of map navigation, Satellite view description and 3D concept.
