Story Maps are a simple, yet powerful medium to inform, engage, and inspire people with any story you want to communicate that involves maps, geography, or location.
Story maps use geography as a means of organizing and presenting information. They convey the story of a place, event, issue, trend, or pattern in a geographic context. They also combine interactive maps with other rich content—text, photos, video, and audio—within user experiences that are basic and intuitive.
Even if you have never developed a story map before, we have the right tools and resources for you to learn. Take advantage of blog posts and tutorials to help you get started and explore story map galleries for inspiration. Check out our Story Maps apps page, choose the Story Maps app you would like to use, and simply follow the step-by-step instructions.
