Credits are the currency used in ArcGIS Online for premium services including feature storage, analysis tools, and premium data. Every ArcGIS Online subscription includes credits. Additional credits can be purchased and added to your subscription at any time.

Does my subscription come with any credits?
Yes, each ArcGIS Online subscription includes a supply of shared credits. The quantity is determined by the user types within the organization. Creator and GIS Professional user types each include 500 credits. Field Worker and Editor user types each include 250 credits.
When does geocoding consume credits?
Searching for addresses does not consume credits. Credits are only consumed when geocoded points are saved.
