GIS For Schools

Acknowledging the urgent need for Geospatial skills in the country, Esri India is helping education and research institutions to gain more skills on GIS with a joint initiative between educational institution and Esri. This collaboration aims to address aspects of Geospatial education including training, workshops, current GIS software, hands-on exercises and best practices.

The prime objective of this collaborative effort is to have a number of teachers and students enabled with Geospatial skills that are much in demand across various sectors leading to exciting careers.

Esri India is helping K-12 segment by providing workshops and hands on training on ArcGIS online and Story maps. 1000+ school students have been trained through these workshops. These students are now working on projects and research work leveraging the GIS technology for interactive learning.
